[ To say the ambush came from nowhere would be an understatement. There hadn't been a single sign that Matsunaga's forces would be in the area, much less attack the small band of scouting ninja. Perhaps some would say the ninja were sloppy, but they hadn't overlooked anything. There's just no good way to predict that bastard, especially when he has the legendary ninja, Kotaro Fuma, under his command. Only so much could have been done.

And the results are strewn across the battlefield. Yes, the Sanada Ninja Corps fought back, even taking down a few enemies. The majority of the dead are still from their side. Sasuke lays on the ground, unmoving but still alive. There's a lot of blood and a sizable wound to his forehead. He's practically on death's doorstep.

Yet... somehow how he doesn't die later from his injuries, and when he does wake, there's a blankness to his gaze. ]

[ The text Sasuke gets from Masamune is kinda random, but it's not really anything new coming from the baseball player. Come over to Kaname's and plan to be busy for a few hours, if not the rest of the night.

But the dress nice request attached to it? Sasuke doesn't exactly know what to make of that. He comes wearing a wide-neck t-shirt and a simple pair of long pants, nothing that would be out of place for daily wear. He also brings his schoolbag because he assumes it's going to be a impromptu math study session or problem solving one of the Date books that isn't making any sense.

Let's be real, if Sasuke had any idea of what Masamune had planned, he might not have shown up at all. Although, given recent in-person and not-in-person interactions, Sasuke probably should be have questioned the motivation behind such an invitation. ]

Mingle Meme: Kigurumi Sleepover!

Kigurumi are animal or character onesies, and you've been invited to a kigurumi sleepover party. It's like a normal sleepover with snacks, movies, games, cuddles... Maybe it's a sleep-in at a local community center. Maybe it's being held at someone's home. Maybe you're crashing some place by kigurumi force. Don't limit your kigurumi creativity.

There's only one real rule to this sleepover: everyone must be wearing a kigurumi to participate. Don't have one? Well, someone brought over extras, so you will be put into one.

Welcome to Hoshi no Tama Cafe

Hoshi Cafe is the shorthand of saying Hoshi no Tama Cafe and is located a few blocks, uphill from the train station. Hoshi no tama are the glowing orbs or jewels that kitsune house part of their soul in. The cafe makes a mean boba tea and other various round shaped food. (This includes dango.) They also serve other common cafe and bistro food. It's good food too.

The name is also why the employees dress as ninja wearing various yokai masks. They have stage names based on their mask. Being a themed cafe, half the fun is pretending you're in the presence of real ninja who serve you, their "Master". The other half... well... it is a sexy-cute type cafe as well... Just a historical type ninja cafe wasn't paying the bills enough. Still, it's like stepping into another world and time.

What to do?

This is a mingle type post. Enjoy the sites, the food, the chaos... Make a top level or tag someone else's. Feel free to NPC the Kamen employees, create your own, or ignore them entirely! I can also do some NPCing if you want.

Side note: While the ~~Sanada~~ Hoshi Cafe Ninja Corps are all of high school to newly graduated/early university age, they did not attend Basara Academy. They are starting to remember bits and pieces of their past lives... unlike Sasuke still. ~~Suffersuke why?~~

Fun HTML Code Inserter geared for IS but customizable

Hello everyone. Your resident hipster ninja mun has something that could make your life easier. (Or harder but hopefully easier) How would you like to have certain codes at your fingertips without having to constantly go to a reference page and copy and paste? There is such a way.

For this to work, Chrome Users need an extension called Tampermonkey (Chrome extension link), and Firefox Users need the extension Greasemonkey. IE Users might be able to use this too given that it mentions IE support in the userscript, but I don't know what you'd need to add to the browser.

This userscript is based on something I started using during a previous game (who got it from a Homestuck userscript for all those crazy fonts and colors) and wanted to edit to use for IS. I hope you guys will find this helpful and useful if you give it a try.

First Move Advantage

[ Matagi walks the black and white lands of the Otherworld with her large gunblade dragged behind her. The blade leaves a thin cut through the checkerboard tiles as she continues. She doesn't remember how she got here or how long it's been since she has. Raising her head to the monochrome sky, she wonders if she should find some kind of vantage point.

If she's back in the Otherworld, that means danger. Matagi isn't one of the stronger fighters in this place, and she'd like to avoid a fight and scout instead if it's possible. ]

[ Ivan stands at the sidewalk in front of the Lyles' house on Gold Stage, looking towards the front door but not immediately approaching. In his hands is a small bag containing some green tea cookies and two bottles of tea. It's only polite to bring something when visiting someone's house. At least, that's how it is done in Japan. Ivan has little first hand experience with these things.

About three more minutes are still needed before Ivan gathers enough courage to walk up to the door and ring the doorbell. He hopes Karina is the one who answers. There will be less explaining to do, he thinks. ]

[ It's a pleasant day in Stern Bild, and Ivan found himself with a bit of free time. Rather than spending it indoors like he might normally do, he decides to take a walk. The weather is nice and the fresh air (well, as fresh of air as one can get in a three stage metropolis) could do him some good. Even if he does his heroics outdoors, he doesn't get a chance to stop and smell the roses when on duty.

So, with his hands in his jacket pockets, Ivan meanders about and looks at the different store fronts as he passes.

Little does he know that he'll be crossing paths with someone real soon. ]

Portals Up, Portals Down

[ Dacey Nolan, age 24, walks calmly through the open air shopping center on the Gold Stage. At the window of a designer handbag store, she looks at her reflection in the glass. Tucking some stray brown locks of hair behind her ear, she grins at the people all around her. Saturday's are busy shopping times, and it's getting close to the holiday season. Music is blasting from the shopping center's speakers. Conversations fill the air when music notes aren't loud enough. Surely no one will notice Nolan should she snap her fingers with her right hand, still covered by hair.

Eyes glow blue as three handbags sitting on a shelf fall through a bright blue portal that opens underneath. The portal quickly disappears as her glow does. Nolan starts to walk away, knowing those handbags have fallen through a second portal back at her house, an orange portal created with a snap of her left hand. She starts to hum a Blue Rose song as she continues with her window shopping. What a pleasant day it is. Even the weather is nice.

What Nolan doesn't know is that her string of crimes hasn't gone completely unnoticed. Over-confidence is her vice. Security cameras have identified her as a person of interest. Her face has been present at many of the reported thefts, and it has long been thought a NEXT could be involved, though they don't know the power used.

As with many crimes involving NEXTs, the heroes have been called to action. Each hero is at a different gate to the shopping center. Origami Cyclone waits at Gate 3, around the corner of a large sporting goods store. All he's waiting for is the word from Agnes to start. ]

Halloween Hijinks with LinLinBunny!

[ It's Halloween, late afternoon when the heroes are done with training for the day. Pao-Lin came up with the idea to get those yummy pudding cups and invited Ivan to go with her. A monorail ride and a lift to the Silver Stage brings them to dessert bakery. They order their pudding to go and leave... only to have what Ivan can only call a flash Halloween party.

A once empty street near the station instantly becomes a bustling festival of all things Halloween. Everyone is wearing a costume. Music is playing. Decorations are placed everywhere. Chairs and mirrors are set up to help do Halloween makeup, and there is a winding haunted "house" (given that it's not inside anything) with no noticeable entrance or exit. Water balloons filled with fake blood are present. This is the kind of thing that would end up YouTube.

The party goers have managed to shut down all public transportation to and from this area. Pao-Lin and Ivan are stranded among a increasingly enthusiastic and rowdy crowd. And who knows if any NEXTs are around to create a little more Halloween atmosphere?

Ivan's not in a costume, but he wears worry all over his face. ]

... I think we're in trouble...

Gotta get a boss table for the boss chair

[ The target is Jacob Lane, a business man working in the fashion industry. Sources indicated that a portion of his profits were going underground to an anti-NEXT organization and that he might be a gatekeeper into that group. It's a trusted source of information. Ivan had a previous mission shapeshifted into a model in a runway show. (A... lingerie runway show much to Ivan's displeasure, only mitigated by the fact that it was someone else's body doing the modeling and not him.)

If they wanted to take out Lane, it would have been easy to do, but no, Ouroboros has bigger plans. They want entrance into that organization and names of more from the group. Lane is due to get brand new table for his large office, where he also entertains small groups. Possibly not all fashion and business related.

Pao-Lin is part of the table delivery, as is Ivan, to see if they can locate where important files may be stored for later retrieval. However, once they got wind of a possible meeting after, the plans changed. Why waste a table on a NEXT Hater when they can not only get the information they need and get a very nice table? ]

Let's visit the LinLinBunny Cafe

[ A news report just happens to catch Ivan's ears when mentions it the opening of a brand new cafe, the likes of which found its start in Japan. Ivan freezes in his tracks upon that magical word. A cafe started in Japan? He has to go there! He remains in the middle of the sidewalk and watches two reporters coo over petting rabbits as they also enjoy drinks and snacks. They look very happy.

Ivan quickly jots down the name of the place, and back at the training room, he does a search for the bunny cafe on his phone. Oh. It looks to be on the Silver Stage, a small distance away from most of the stations. That makes it a little harder to visit. ]

So, either a taxi for on foot... How much would a taxi even cost me...?
