Welcome to Hoshi no Tama Cafe
Hoshi Cafe is the shorthand of saying Hoshi no Tama Cafe and is located a few blocks, uphill from the train station. Hoshi no tama are the glowing orbs or jewels that kitsune house part of their soul in. The cafe makes a mean boba tea and other various round shaped food. (This includes dango.) They also serve other common cafe and bistro food. It's good food too.
The name is also why the employees dress as ninja wearing various yokai masks. They have stage names based on their mask. Being a themed cafe, half the fun is pretending you're in the presence of real ninja who serve you, their "Master". The other half... well... it is a sexy-cute type cafe as well... Just a historical type ninja cafe wasn't paying the bills enough. Still, it's like stepping into another world and time.

Wearing a white and red mask, Tenko Kamen can do every role in the cafe. He's one of the hardest employees in the cafe, and his flexibility allows him to cover many shifts. He doesn't know why a number of his coworkers seem to have it out for him. Perhaps it's because he's the newest ninja who was quickly promoted to lead. He's still a bit adorably moe despite looking more scandalous in his uniform, and he's oddly more confident than his classmates may expect from him.
Calm and collected, Okami Kamen appears to be the ideal ninja and everything Tenko wishes he was more like. He's one of the cafe's leads and often assigns people to their tables and which ninja(s) serves them. He's reliable with orders, but he sometimes neglects to check on refills and such. Sometimes, he chucks ice cubes at Tenko for fun, and he's peeved (though doesn't show it on his face) that the Tenko Kamen "spot" is taken by someone who isn't the "right one."
Enenra Kamen is an airhead. If he serves you, he will probably mess up your order. However, it's hard to be mad at someone so earnest. He definitely fills the cute ninja role. Because he messes up on orders, he's often the person who cleans up after people leave or does the dishes.
Bakeneko Kamen is a talkative ninja who will play up the theatrics and fits the cheerful kunoichi role. She's taller than her sister Nekomata Kamen despite being the younger one. She has a small lantern on her hip (to symbolize the cats drinking lamp oil), and she's happy to do tricks or acrobatics for entertainment.
Nekomata Kamen is reserved and definitely more the cool, mysterious senpai type. She's the older sister, and she often works along side her sister to confuse their customers. She wears a handkerchief on her head like one of the famous depictions of a nekomata. She'll also play the shamisen as entertainment.
Sarcastic and dry, Mujina Kamen seems done with all this nonsense. He's not surprised by anything. He'll get your order correct each time and predict your needs and wants, but his customer service skills are lacking. Mujina will sound annoyed if you think he's wearing a tanuki mask instead of a badger. Part of his charm is how feminine he is like a kabuki actor.
The only Kamen who doesn't fit the naming theme is Haniwa Kamen, and his mask has one eye hole larger than the other too. He's chaos personified. How he hasn't gotten fired is a world mystery. Things will get messed up, and he'll find it hilarious. He lacks any kind of filter on what he says. Mujina and Namazu may drag him off to get him under control. Something will break or catch on fire around him. Be thankful that he isn't cruel... just... chaotic...
Unlike the previous Kamen, Namazu Kamen is very quiet. She may look intimidating because of her height and build, but she's actually a kind person. She works more in the back cooking than waiting tables. Physically, she's the strongest of the bunch.
Karura Kamen is another quiet ninja, but she is more likely to speak her thoughts. These are more in hushed tones than lack of words like Namazu. She's a hard worker, and her small stature and boyishness is part of her charm.
Jorogumo Kamen is mysterious and mischievous. To fit the spider theme, her mask has two eye holes and six more dots that could appear to a spider's additional eyes. She's also a tad chaotic but in a subtle, teasing way. She takes her orders with ease, but she may leave you feeling a little worried about your choice. However, she doesn't try to be cruel and will back off if she suspects someone can't handle her teasing. (She will be disappointed that she can't have her fun, however.)
There is one employee who goes by Kazama and wears a full mask and not a half mask like the others. He doesn't speak at all and is very threatening. Out of all the employees, he's the most antagonistic if not hostile towards Tenko Kamen. The other ninja seem to respect but also fear him. Listen closely enough, one may hear them whisper questions about if he's really their "leader" or not? Does he really match their memories and sense of who was in their group? Maybe if that red leader ever shows up...
Side note: While theSanada Hoshi Cafe Ninja Corps are all of high school to newly graduated/early university age, they did not attend Basara Academy. They are starting to remember bits and pieces of their past lives... unlike Sasuke still. Suffersuke why?

such was the case for this older version of yukimura, wandering around streets of tokyo this late at night (hah, since when did 8pm count as late? gods, he was getting too old to be this picky...) before he stumbled across the hoshi cafe. honestly, this place looked like a hotspot that attracted nothing but weeaboo tourists and college-aged kids but here he was, standing in the storefront. contemplating whether or not to go inside since he could do with something cheap and entertaining before he fixed himself a quiet meal of steamed rice and store-bought xiao long bao that awaited him in the fridge back home. ah, peak adulthood diet at it's finest.

it certainly is a pity though, the suggestive nature of this cafe. his daughter might've enjoyed the theme if it wasn't so... well, scandalous, but oh well. he was fortunate enough his daughter was left in the care of a close friend for the night and naotora had been smitten with her enough to take her without much of a fight for the time being. but since he had the rest of the night cleared and he didn't have to return home immediately, he figured he could at least poke his head inside and leaf through a menu.
who knows? maybe he'd have a cute petite server to flirt a free meal out of... haha... ]

This is a job, and they are all united as a team under the banner that modern life is expensive, god damn it. Most, like Sasuke, are just paying off interest on student loans and can't earn enough to pay off the actual loan itself.
Saizo passes by him, places a hand on his shoulder, and then leaves to help out some of the other guests. So, it'll be up to Sasuke to take this one, but Saizo has his back. He always does. ]
Welcome, to the Hoshi no Tama Cafe, Master. How may I serve you tonight?
[ Tenko Kamen greets him with a slight bow. His eyes don't leave the newcomer, sizing him up. ]

[ don't mind him, he's still taking in the atmosphere by the time sasuke appears before him, addressing him as a master. master, huh? no wonder why it's so easy for this kind of interaction to get carried away.
if he was that kind of guest, he might've found an easier time being thrown out of the cafe by more than one employee, but thankfully he's not nor is he the type to ever dream of that. still doesn't put a stop to wanting to put it on a little thick once he's seated and had a look at the menu though.

[ Tenko is aware of how suggestive that comment is, but he's the one keeping an eye on him. So, it's not a lie either. He walks further into the cafe's main area, menu in hand, and sits the guest into a small booth. A few other customers pay their bill and begin to leave. There aren't many left. Tenko glances at a clock at the wall. (The clock hands are two kunai.) He leans over to point at two items on the menu.
Nice work this lifetime outfit indeed. One can drink in the sights along with a coffee.]We close in half an hour. I'm afraid you won't be able to enjoy the larger sets. You can order a smaller meal, but you will only have time for one ninja show.
