[ there was no one more reprieved than yukimura to be in his usual sweats and sneakers once his chaotic week with naotora's dare died down. in the end, they both pulled through and came to a grounded conclusion despite it feeling like they were both mutually pulling each other's teeth. truthfully, he had no idea how or why anyone would willingly wear heels or bras, to begin with, but thankfully this wasn't a concern of his anymore!
his budding petty rivalry with naotora was... fun in a purely obtuse way, but it was a distraction. it was nothing in comparison to the rivalry he had with masamune and bickering over their new field on their extra days... wherever he was now. hell, if it wasn't for sasuke and his quick thinking, he would've spent the rest of his day off at home, letting his feet soak and his blisters recover for an week's abuse but he knew better than to be sitting idle and alone for so long.
the weather outside was beautiful and they had at least another hour of sunlight left. as was his way of wanting to show thanks, he wanted to surprise sasuke by picking him up and taking him out on his treat. because that's what boyfriends did when they wanted to perform romantic overtures, right? he made no concise decision whether it would be out to a movie or revisiting the place they went on their first date (rue his composure the moment sasuke dares to point out what a sap yukimura is) but it was the thought that counted, right?
true to sasuke's directions, the hoshi no tama cafe is indeed located a few blocks away from the train station. outside of making the mistake of skipping lunch and standing outside of the entrance for ten minutes, only to be lured in by one of the staff on a smoking break... surely, sasuke wouldn't mind if he had a quick pre-game snack, right? he still had another half hour to kill and what fortunate luck he had to have such a proactive host come race to greet him! too bad he was wearing an okami mask instead of tenko mask.
